This past week...

At our church's Feast of the Fatted Calf.  We had some great bbq!

Well, May, you may have been super busy, and you sure tried to kick my hiney, however, I have emerged triumphant!  Well, almost.  We've got 2 days left of school (really 1 1/2 days, but who's counting?) and I can see the light at the tunnel.  Here's what we've been up to... we survived 2 dress rehearsals, 2 dance recitals, 1 6 hour long dress rehearsal, and got Bebe's cast off!

Bebe and Mamu on our way to church!

We had some yummy fruit kabobs for dessert one night.
Mamu enjoyed eating off of a stick.
I just couldn't resist my little boy at bedtime.

Star Wars family we saw on a car at Walmart.
I made Jason slow down for me to take the picture.
I've never seen those before!

Bebe made some decorations with her jewels.

Mamu drew a picture of Auntie.  (She's on the right I believe.  Mamu is possibly on the left, but I don't have confirmation on that...)

Bebe at dress rehearsal for jazz.

Bebe in her tap costume for dress rehearsal.

Bebe's final pose from tap.  She's on the left on Scott's back.
I love how they worked her in!

Jason got an early birthday present and Mamu played delivery man.

Guess whose t-ball picture came in the mail this past week!

Beebsie got her cast off!  Her foot isn't fully healed, but the doctor didn't see any reason to keep her in a boot or another cast.  She's just not supposed to jump or run.  And, to her excitement, doesn't have to walk the track at recess.

These were the gifts for the dance teachers.  They were similar to the coaches gifts with a framed subway art about dance teachers.

Upstairs during recital - jazz was first!  They are watching the live feed waiting for their turn.

We redeemed one of our free Which Wich sandwiches this past weekend.
Jason loved his so much, he wanted me to take a picture of his bag so he can order it exactly the right way next time.

We had a 6 hour dress rehearsal (with an hour dinner break) for ballet.
This is the girls warming up.

During the dinner break during the forever long rehearsal, we stopped by Walmart to get some things (magazine for me, candy, and some random stuff we forgot) and I saw this... I considered taking one with me.  However, they aren't pre-frozen.... and the recital / rehearsal was in a church...

So, I've been a bit lagging in my blog here.  Let's catch up, shall we?
Well, Bebe fractured her 3rd metatarsal before her 9th birthday party.
Don't worry.  It didn't really slow her down.
Acute Kids confirmed it was a fracture and wrapped it up for us.

We had to go shopping after she got it wrapped.  We took 2 carts. :)

Mamu got a hold of my phone and took some shots from his cart.

Bebe and her bright pink cast.  Her sentence:  4 weeks. Not too bad.

We had to do something about the boring old boot/shoe they gave her.
We blinged it up!  (I have to report right now that the pink bow is lost and the I <3 Dance is lost.)

Mamu was being cheesy. :)

Mamu got a new scooter from his Grandma and Grandpa!  He loves it!
It takes him a while to go anywhere on it, but he's trying.

Mamu and Ooh Ooh played a mean game of Mickey Mouse Yahtzee!

Mamu had his 4 year old check up at our new pediatrician's office.
He didn't want to wear the gown because it had bears on it.
He wanted (you guessed it) monkeys on it.
So I turned it inside out, used some of the crayons in my purse, and drew a monkey on it.
He really didn't enjoy the shots he got that day.  Poor guy.

We celebrated Auntie's birthday with massages, pedicures, lunch, and shopping.
It's hard to see, but MG and Auntie's mom is in there as well.

Auntie had a great Italian dessert for her birthday.
She was quite relieved that the waiters at the restaurant didn't sing.

Mamu got a new "fighter jets" shirt from Grandma and Grandpa.

I got the World's Best Mom award. :)

And a fabulous package from Mamu.

Jason and the kids picked out a new candle and cover for me.

and Gummy Bears!  (Those were gone in 3 days)

At church, the kids got up and did a little thing for Mother's Day.
The younger kids did one as well, but since Mamu was the only one, he just sat.

I had a lovely corsage made by Mamu at school.
When Bebe saw it, she ran over and made me an ice cream cone pin to wear.

We finished out our t-ball season and I felt that I needed to give a little extra to our coaches.  (We gave to the coaches gifts too).  They worked so hard and so well with Mamu, that I wanted them to have a bit of something extra to know they made a difference.

One day after school this week, I came in from bus duty and found this note on my desk.
Can you tell Bebe is ready for this cast to come off?

We've started the downhill roller coaster that is dance rehearsal/pictures/recital week.
This is Bebe in her ballet costume.

Bebe and I found my nephew's car - Optimus, here ya go!

We had a 4 hour rehearsal for ballet today.  If you look closely, you'll see the bright pink cast with Bebe attached to it.  I am so proud of her - we've been to every practice, rehearsal, and picture.

While we were picking up Jason's car from some work it had done, we saw this 'creation' in the back.  It looks like Lady Liberty riding a chopper.  On top of a VW bus.  Only one of a kind, I'm sure!

Mamu washed his car this evening in the backyard.  (He also picked out his own clothes today).

Up this week?
Last full week of school
1 ballet rehearsal
1 jazz/tap dress rehearsal and pictures
1 cast coming off!
1 jazz/tap recital
1 7 hour ballet dress rehearsal
1 ballet recital
and Jason's stage managing a show!  We'll slow down the week after... maybe.
