Well, this time was no different, except she kept saying "the dock". It took me a minute to figure out what she was talking about. So here's how the conversations in the van went:
Me: Okie dokie! Are we ready to go meet Dad for lunch?
Both: Yeah!
Me: Alright! Let's go.
Mamu: I yant (want) motorcycle mans, trash truck, mixer truck.
Bebe: Ok Mamu, we'll see what we see. Look out your window.
(This is usually what goes on every time we get in the car. Mamu makes a list of what he hopes /wants / demands to see on his ride in the car.)
Me: How do we want to go today?
Bebe: Over the dock!
Me: Huh?
Bebe: You know, the dock!
Me: Umm, honey, I think the last dock you visted was about 2 years ago at family reunion in Kentucky. Are you sure that's what you're talking about?
Mamu: Motorcycle Man! (Check one off the list!)
Bebe: Um, well, you know, the thing we drive over to go to see Dad for lunch?
Me: You mean the dam?
Bebe: Yes! The dam!
Me: You mean the dam?
Bebe: Yes! The dam!
Me: Ok - we'll drive over the dam.
A few minutes later:
Me: Ok guys! We're about to go over the dam! Everyone look out Mamu's window for boats!
Me: Ok guys! We're about to go over the dam! Everyone look out Mamu's window for boats!
Bebe: Maaaaa. Maa. Maaaaa.
Me: I said "Buh, buh, Boats; not goats"
Bebe: OH.
The rest of our trip was pretty normal for us; no rouge goats on the lake and only turned on the wrong street once (which is great!). And since I failed at getting any pictures because my camera was sitting all by it's lonesome on the counter, here's a flash from the past:
Guess where we were exactly 2 years ago?
